Things I like about the HiHy that....
....no one told me before I bought the car. Instead of a list of gripes or wanted improvements, how about a list of cool things that come with it.
Here's a few observations,
1) The engine doesn't have to warm up or operate at high RPM's for the A/C to work at max.
2) The regenerative braking system keeps the rims looking cleaner longer.
3) The CVT is sooo smooth.

hi
I too am a big fan of the AC working all the time. The CVT is awesome . I also really like the feel of the vehicle as well. For a 268HP SUV, this thing is handles like a car.

- The AC usually keeps running on battery only when one of us runs into the local coffee shop for a fill up.
- It takes almost no time at all to convert from a people carrier to a junk carrier, much more convenient than the old van (though it doesn't carry as much).
- Second on the clean wheels, ours are still shiny even though it's been thousands of miles since they were washed. (Does this mean the pads and rotors will last much much longer too? Hoping so!)
- That more and more HH are showing up in the neighborhood. The quietly distinctive chrome accents are noticeable, and I seem to be noticing a high percentage of Hybrid Highlanders (though this area is prime Prius territory, both 1st and second gen).

I am going to sound like a broken record....so........
A/C runs on battery, not ICE
Rims don't need constant cleaning
Smooth and comfortable car-like ride
and I would like to add.........................
Excellent fuel economy for its size
Quiet ride (almost NO engine or wind noise)
Great visibility (side mirrors are large)
LOTS of room
Easy to use and store cargo cover
Plenty of effortless acceleration when needed (or wanted)

amen to that
we have 750 miles on her now. My wife just drives the thing normally -and she gets better MPG than i do!!!
The AC working on battery power is a real treat. The vehicle really does handle like a car. There are so many things we love about it, I doubt we would have ever bought another hybrid. It has the best of all worlds combined in our opinion.
