Unhappy Raynor garage door

Hi,

Has anyone successfully programmed their built-in garage door opener with a Raynor brand garage door? I've given up trying to program my fiancee's HiHy.

TIA,
Ronald

Have you checked the owners manual on the door opener ? You most likely have an opener with a rolling code. Programming a remote usually involves getting up on a ladder and pressing the learn function on the motor. Check Raynor.com for instructions for your particular unit.

I have successfully programmed my HiHy Homelink with garage door openers from both Sears (non rolling code) and Liftmaster (rolling code) as well as the gate opening code for the community where I live. The instructions in the owners manual to load the garage opener code to the Homelink in the HiHy are accurate and must be followed closely. Then close attention must also be paid to the instructions supplied by the manufacturer of the garage door opener for linking the Homelink to the brand opener you have. Each opener brand had significantly different instructions. Good luck.

I've consulted both manuals to no avail. I'm hoping I can get a definitive answer from someone who also has a Raynor garage door.

Sigh,
Ronald

Call up Raynor. 1 800 4 RAYNOR. The Homelink system is standard. You can find instructions at Homelink.com. You may be having issues with the remote cycling or not getting to the car within 30 seconds after pressing the learn button on the motor. Raynor should be able to help.

I'm pretty sure Raynor's openers are all Chamberland Liftmasters. Mine is...of course I don't have a Homelink unit in my vehicle to test out.

Talking Re: Raynor garage door

Luckily my brother-in-law has a HiHy and has successfully configured his garage door opener with his Raynor garage door. Whether I misread the instructions or not, the trick was two-fold. Had to use the Raynor garage door remote AND the garage door motor unit to code the HiHy's remote. Mission complete!

Mahalo all,
Ronald

I just got a new door mechanism and it is a roaming code. There are specific instructions on programming that type of opener. It is more complex than a single code opener. The Toyota manual does address that issue. However, the manual for the opener if you have it may also help.
I don't have a Raynor, but hope this helps. Good luck.
Larry
