I don't have a garage....and therefore no garage door to open. I use just about every feature I can find on this car (this car is soooo cool, nearly 10k on it and I still feel like there's stuff I haven't used) and I would like to use the garage door opener for something.

Any ideas ? Can I use it to turn on house lights with some x10 gadget or something?

Sure can, just have to buy something to connect it to the house. It also works for gates.
