They had a skit on the Oct 10th Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Assuming they drove their actual vehicles, it seems that band leader Kevin Eubanks has a HiHy. If you look at the front grille, it appears that the extra cooling vent is there. However, the side badge says "Limited" instead of "Hybrid" like on my '06 model. I'm guessing though that maybe the '05 was badged differently?

 

My 06 HiHy has a "Limited" badge on the side front. (ordered August 2005) I believe the badging was changed later in production. I only have the Synergy Drive badge on the tailgate to identify it as a hybrid. (And the different looking grill.)There is no 2005 Toyota HiHy.

 

No, the first HH's were badged that way and the first year for the HH was an early introduced 06 model. Early in 06 they changed the badging and added the Hybrid badge to the front fender (like the Prius) and moved the Limited to the rear door, just above the belt line. Mine was purchased in Oct 05 and I rebadged it to the new style in May of 06 to match the new ones.

Some say it was done because the Ford Explorer had so many badges touting the Hybrid.
