Default Will a TCH Hold a Double Bass?

Thinking about a TCH but I play a double bass. Will it fit?

Thanks,
Roger

No problem. Cut it into two equal halves lengthwise, stack them on top of each other, and slide them through the pass-through from the trunk.

:-)

You must have heard about the small trunk the TCH has. I can't imagine getting anything larger than, say, a mandolin into mine, so I'd suggest you take your double bass with you to the dealership when you do a test drive.

The trunk is not quite as small as you are making it out to be.

My best guess is that a double-bass will fit, but it would help if you post the dimensions (or yeah to be 100% sure definitely bring it with you on the test ride. You don't have to carry it IN to the dealership, just bring the TCH next to your car on the drive. That's how I tested the stroller).

I have no problems getting the largest, clumsiest, bulkiest double-stroller I have ever seen into the trunk, with room to spare.

Thanks. I know it won't fit in the trunk but if the passenger seat lies flat it may fit in the back driver side door and fit diagonally across. If the back seats fold down the body might fit in the trunk and the neck and scoll could rest on the console.

The back seat folds down, but there is only an 8" tall by 15" wide opening to pass stuff thru. The battery sits against the back seat and takes up about 1/3 of the non-hybrid's truck space leaving us with diminutive sized trunks.

Your best bet is to put it in the cabin somehow.

Unless you can get it in the back seat with the neck between the two front seats I'd say no it won't fit.

Haha. Brings back found memories of me carrying around my cello in the backseat of my VW beetle in my high school days.
