Just trying to figure out if the wiring is the same from the prius to the camry. I have an 05 prius and I just bought an 08 camry hybrid both have JBL Nav systems. One might think that the plug set for the xm radio that plugs into the back of the radio would be the same. The XM unit I have in the prius is the new one that will display 16 characters. Any thoughts??

I bought the Terk XM-Direct for my 07 TCH (which is the same radio wiring as your 08TCH). My Terk is compatible with the following Toyota/Scion model years:

Therefore, I would assume that the wiring for the 05 Prius is not the same as the wiring for the 07+ TCH, otherwise the 05 Prius would have been listed on the comptability chart listed above.

You might check to see if all you need is the cable from the box to the head unit. I think the "fit kit" that includes cable, brackets, antenna and other miscellany is around $125.00, I got the whole kit from www.toyotapartspeople.com for around $280.00 for everything. A trip to the local dealership where they printed out the 14 page instructions, and I was ready to go.
