What did you trade in to buy your new Camry?

1997 DeVille ...
Truly a lovely, comfortable, luxurious ride ...
even if a true 'tank' ...
Miss the memory seats ...
Do not miss -
- 15 mpg overall
- a machine seemingly designed to enrich the mechanic class ... almost nothing easy to service ... and the rest worse ...
- too many things failed far too early - power windows; alternator; A/C; fuel system
- Final blow - to fix minor oil leak - must pull engine!

Re: What did you trade in to buy your new Camry?
I traded in a jinxed 2007 Scion TC. In thirteen months that car had three new fenders, a wheel, and a bumper. It got hit when someone ran a red light, ran a stop sign, and then in one of three days I parked it on the street in front of my house. It just wasn't a good car for me (I had no accidents before that).
Before the Scion I traded in my 96 S-10 pickup because we have two little girls and my wife said I needed a back seat. I drove the Prius first, but didn't like the light colored interior and wasn't sure about how slow it was off the line. When I came back from the test drive I parked next to the Scion that I took home (dark interior and quick). It was a good car that got 33-34 mpg average but was a little noisy when driving any distance.
I bought the Camry after test driving the Honda Accord and Civic hybrids. The Camry seemed quieter than the other two. I love the fact it's a big car with great gas mileage.

Funny thing, in my sales brochure for the 2007 Camry I picked up in July (the brochure, not my car which I bought three weeks ago) black was not even listed as a color option
