Thumbs up Re: What did you trade in to buy your new Camry?

My favorite pickup of all (6) I've owned, a 2006 F-150 4x4 XLT. Fantastic truck, crappy mileage (~14.5-15). I have to say 39mpg cures a lot of ills...

A couple drove off with our 1999 Explorer yesterday, Today we picked up our TCH!

Explorer 8 yrs 140,000km (85,000 mi) avg fuel consumption 16.1 l/100km (14.6 mpg US)
Highway mileage was 10-11 l/100 km (22-26 mpg) City winter (don't want to think about it anymore :-)

Put 100km on the TCH today and the tank avg is 5.9 l/100km (39.8 mpg US, 47.8 mpg UK)

Z.

Traded in a 2003 Nissan Murano. The dealer didn't even want to take it. They said their entire used car lot was full of SUVs. While it was a nice vehicle, I was glad to get rid of it - it wasn't a Toyota!

Not actually a trade, but sold my 1997 Dodge Intrepid with 140,000 miles to my brother when I bought my 09 TCH. That was two months ago, and he called me yesterday to let me know the Dodge had died....good timing.

Went from 20mpg to 40, so I'm a happy camper.

Traded in a 2000 Corolla LE, unsual model as it had a manual transmission, but every option available on a Corolla of that year(cruise, sunroof, side air bags) except ABS. Consistently got 40+mpg with this car.

I actually lost a couple of miles per gallon with the TCH, but have a much larger, safer and more comfortable car.

Gave my '02 PT Cruiser to my son and bought me an '08 TCH. Went from 20 mpg to 40mpg plus a lot more interior room. Still drive the PT once in awhile but love the Camry.
