Default Voice Command (Shorten Response)

Does anyone know if there is a way to shorten the voice command response so that is only beeps after you push the voice button rather than stating" please state your command after the beep"... It would be nice if you could just press the button and it beeped rather than hearing the instructions.... Thanks!

There is a way, as I did it, but don't have the manual in front of me. Try going into the "setup" screen on the NAV...i believe the setting to turn the voice activated guidence is there. NOT the voice NAV guidence.

Specifically:

MENU
SETUP
(page down to 2nd page)
VOICE RECOGNITION GUIDANCE
ON/OFF
OK

I tried this - as I agree - who needs the prompting after you've gotten familiar with the car - but it did not work, meaning that I was still prompted by the voice lady...to "after the beep, please say the command".

Do the below disabling options work for anyone else? and for those who it is working for...what exactly is happening...? Does it get rid of "after the beep, please say the command" instruction...the the manual is very vague on these options.

Thanks in advance

It worked for me, now when I press the voice command button, all I get is the beep.

Menue, setup, scroll to page 2, "voice acitvated guidence" =OFF, OK. be sure to select OK to save the changes
