I want to use a seperate tire/wheel combo for winter use. Do I have to use the tire pressure monitoring system or can I avoid the cost of these and simply shut off they system completely for the season so that I don't get an alarm or light every time I start the car?

Does anyone know what a set of 4 of these costs?
