Ok folks, embarrassing moment...

It took me two years to realize....
  • that if I press and hold the DISP button on the steering wheel it will automatically take me to the outside temperature. I wish if you press and hold again it would return you to the previous setting.
  • that the stereo (with nav) retains volume levels for various inputs. For example, AUX and FM1 volumes are retained.

Unless I am crazy, I really think the above does occur and that (saddly) it took me two years (about) to realize this.

How about you?

Just tried it and you're right, it does work. Thanks to you, it only took me a year to find this out.

Haha! You know, I am sure these features are described in the manual as well...(I guess I should have read that big book huh? )

<hangs head in shame> I'm a guy who actually read a manual, so I knew about it.

Sorry.

The thing that took me the longest to master was knowing which button (gas tank refuel open, ECO) was which. After getting tired of having to bend down to try to read them each time, I finally made a mental note, the one that is closest to the gas tank flap is the refill open button, the one that is closest to the climate control console is the ECO button

That the non-nav JBL stereo skips to the next station (not the next preset) when you hold the steering wheel skip button.

So, a quick push - go to next preset.

A longer push - seek the next station.
