My dealer had the tires at 32psi, and I have been averaging 35.4mpg. Last tank I increased the pressure to 40psi, and I got 36.7mpg. I am travelling over the next week, and will see if the gas mileage keeps up. I did notice that there were corners that I could get around now without the ICE that I couldn't get around before. The car seems to handle better with the higher pressures, and it rolls easier from a stop (much easier to keep the ICE off).

To get the desired pressure , add the 1 psi difference , when they cool they will be at the desired pressure .

Whoops. What I was thinking and what I was typing were two different things. Thanks for the correction.

As a follow up to my previous post, I have logged 3159 miles with 40psi in the tires, and my gas mileage has averaged over the 6 tanks 37.2mpg, versus the 35.4mpg with 32psi in the tires. The tires show no extraordinary wear.
