I have factory leather heated seats.
Early in the season I tried them out and they got hot enough to toast my buns.
Now that the weather is colder they seem to modulate on and off. Not a constant temp but they vary from very warm to less warm in cycles that last several minutes each.
Is this modulation of temperature the way they are suppose to work?
It seems to do this in both my TCH and wife's conventional '07 Camry but I would like to confirm if this is normal operation for heated leather seats.

 

Have had to shut mine off after a couple minutes the last couple mornings, I wish there was a position switch like my Lexus and VW.

 

Ditto here... I wish there was a "medium" setting..

I am no more than 2 blocks from the house when it's 18 degrees outside and my bunns are already getting warm!

Rear window defroster works just as fast!

 

My heated leather seats cycle the same as yours, about two minutes to very warm and then about 8 minutes or so less warm, which feels more like keeping the chill out of the leather seats.

 

Thanks. I was just concerned they were tripping on high heat as opposed to just cycling by design. I'll rest easier now.
