Mike,

Sorry to hear that you are up against it. Hope all works out with your emergency. Since I am not from that part of the country, and don't have friends/relatives there, it is unlikely that I can help.

Anyway, good luck...

Sorry to hear that you will be leaving the TCH family. I would comment that your asking price is too high, it's just about MSRP. Why would anyone purchase a used TCH for ~MSRP when they will not be allowed to collect the tax credit? You need to price your vehicle slightly below MSRP - $1300 to attract buyers. JMHO.

While giving certz656 advice on his stated asking price is undoubtedly well-intended, those are probably comments that should have been sent to him privately. Comments on his price could affect his fair negotiations with others, or cause him to be perceived unjustly by a prospective buyer. The car will be worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If I were certz656, I'd be upset if people were publicly assessing my initial asking price. It would seem to interfere with his personal process, since many come to this forum looking to buy a TCH. Please don't take my comment here as a criticism, just a word of caution to be mindful of how comments might affect any prospective sale.

Good point Steve and I agree...

Also - It seems that prices vary by region.. Some regions support a markup over MSRP. And when the gas prices go up again (and they will) - you'll see an even greater number of people seeking relief in the world of Hybrid technology.

You are correct, I probably should have sent him the comment via PM. However, one could reasonably assume that anybody reading this forum already knows about current TCH pricing and the tax credit, or is otherwise trying to gather that information. My comment is a reiteration of what has already been publicly posted several hundred times.

Well I had to have a starting point so my price is negotible. One plus, if a Nevada resident purchases from a private party, there is no used/ sales tax, which should out weigh the reduced tax credit ( past 9/30/06). A prosepctive buyer will receive the remaining Warranty minus 3 months/ 5000 mi., no dealer markup or Doc fees. Like I said price is up for B.O., but I'm not giving it away, there are still plenty looking for TCH's out there, and are waiting at the dealers with deposits in hand for a car that may still be weeks away.

I hope that's a typo. Selling THC can get you in trouble with the law.
