Re: TCG Navigation v 6.1 hacks
SUCCESS!! thanks so much to all of you for your savy. after three failed attempts, i finally made my hybrid nav dvd on my iMac G5 after downloading a program called dragon burn (reccomended by a co-worker) and taking advantage of the free trial version. i inserted the burned dvd into the nav, up popped the map with my current location. i tried the override, no luck. so i removed the fuse and reinserted it after a few minutes, i tried the override again, and volla.

Of course if you make a combo disk, the "I agree" button, which is gone in 7.1 will come back.
I actually think the speed pulse generator is probably a better solution. It should work with all future versions, and you won't be getting farther and farther behind in the OS.
Later!

Re: TCG Navigation v 6.1 hacks
I have built the speed pulse generator, but have not been able to get it to work yet.
There is a person on tundrasolutions that has a TCH who got it to work. His post is in the tundra section as that is where this mod came from.
By just adding the switch to the speed sensor wire and disconnecting the sensor, you can buy yourself about 2 minutes of override time. This might be enough to fiddle with the nav, and if you need more time, just cycle the switch.
I still want the spg, so I don't have to cycle the switch to get more override time.
