I have an older Prius now and thinking of buying the Camry. I want a little more guts in the engine than my Prius has.

I was also considering the Nissan Altima Hybrid before finding out they do not sell them in Washington state.

My question, very simply is, how saitsfied are you with your Camry Hybrid?

the only people here are Camry fanatics, so you'll probably not find too many people who hate it.

I bought a TCH after considering a Prius, last winter (2008 model). I did not seriously look at a Nissan, because I had a bad experience with Nissan some years ago. I was less concerned about engine size (acceleration), more about creature comforts. Overall, the camry is more like a regular car, attracts less attention on the road, has more "comfort" details, and is both longer and wider. I like the longer wheel base -- and the corresponding ride. The camry is more than quick enough. I rarely use full throttle. I could actually tolerate a smaller engine if the trade-off would get a significant mpg gain. The length and width mostly translates into cabin space. Part of it also translates into larger crumple zones, which I hope never to use. I think the prius actually has more cargo capacity. I don't much care about cargo capacity -- I just use my truck for that -- so that wasn't an issue for me.

I still very happy and satisfied after over 9 months of ownership and nearly 7,000 miles. No problems. This is my first Toyota and first non-Big 3 vehicle. Yes, I wish it had a few things (auto up driver's window; memory seat, etc.). I'm a huge car nut and am always looking. I can honestly say, for the first time ever, that I have no desire to trade. There is no other car currently available in my price range that I want more than what I already have.

I'm happy with fuel economy and the size. It's very roomy for adults. I've been quite surprised when my parents have been in the back and we haven't had to move seats forward. I like my navigation and sound system. I love the SmartKey. I've had no problems with rattles, interior components or with paint chips.

At the time I purchased, I did not consider the Prius because it was hard to find. I was able to get a Camry in the exact colors and equipment I wanted without ordering and waiting. When the time comes, if gas is still high or higher, I may consider downsizing to something like the Prius.

The Camry Hybrid is really holding its value well, too.

i am notorious for getting bored with my vehicle and wanting something different. i was very happy with my prius but wanted some of the extra features that the prius didn't offer. the hycam was my perfect alternative and a test drive was all that it took to sell me. i purchased mine 13 months ago (almost 14) and i still love everything about it! (and i don't think the trunk is that small) i now carpool with my hubby since i got a job with the same company and i really miss my car on the days that he drives us...

Two years+ and over 32,000 miles and it's still a "new" car -- with the exception of worn (whump, whump, etc.) Bridgestones I am a very satisfied owner.

If I had to do it again, I'd choose the GPS option and be sure to get Michelins.
