Anyone happen to know if the steering wheel of the XLE is trimmed real leather, or synthetic?

I'm looking at buying a Camry Hybrid XLE. My wife is an ethical vegan and is very happy that the seats are leatherette and not real leather, but the Toyota website is not so clear about the "leather-trimmed" steering wheel.

 

The base LE trim has cloth upholstery, the SE has faux leather, the XSE has faux suede and the XLE has leather. The XLE, XSE and SE will also have a leather trimmed steering wheel. The leather might look like faux leather but that is due to the vinyl coating that Toyota uses to keep a consistent color on the hides.

Maybe a SE would be a better fit or you might be able to have your dealer replace the steering wheel of a SE or XSE model with the steering wheel from an SE model before you pick up your new car.
