Was it installed at the port or by local dealer?

Is there a separate fob?

Are you happy with the range?

Is the fact thats it's a hybrid engine impact on it at all?


I live in Maine and love remote starters as our winters are quite long.

There is no separate FOB.
I had the impression that it was installed at the factory. How can you tell whether it was factory or port ? The sticker did not show any dealer installed option.

I havent tried it for for more than 5 ft away yet, so dont know about the range.

The dealer told me he thought my TCH had a security system installed since it came with a remote starter. However, I found some papers on the web (can't locate urls now) that there were three security options: the RS3200, the remote starter, and the remote starter with the security system. I apparently just have the remote starter. I asked about adding the security system, and they told me the part for that upgrade is not yet available. Does anyone have additional information about this?

 

I didn't even want remote start, and the car they had on the lot had remote start and the RS3200 installed. They are separate options. The FOD for remote start has a "Engine Starter" sticker on it - quote tacky actually.
