I'm too cheap to pay for a personalized license plate but I would go for TCHLVR (we can only use six digits in HI). If seven spaces are allowed I would go with TCHLOVR so it wouldn't be perceived as TCH liver

 

 

There's an episode of South Park that makes fun of hybrid drivers, calling them "smug." They have even replaced the daily the "smog" alert, with a "smug" alert.

If I wasn't so cheap, I'd probably get personalized plates that said "Smug" or "2 Smug" or something similar.

 

In Virginia we're limited to 6 characters on the Clean Special Fuel license plates (the ones that allow me to drive solo in the HOV lanes). The Prius is obviously a hybrid because it's the only way you can get it. However, most people don't know that there is a hybrid version of the Camry, and even if they do they'd have to notice the HSD emblems. So I decided to get:

07HYBR

Not very original, but I'll have my first vanity plate.

BTW, there are lots of vanity plates in VA as they only run $10/year.
