Performance Monitor for CHV
MSD Ignition has a new version of their EDGE monitor called "DashHawk".
The DashHawk connects to the vehicle's ODB-II connector and then will give readouts such as rpm, oil pressure, throttle position, and whatnot.
MSD has an ongoing effort to update the product to monitor more vehicle variables.
I have one arriving on Wednesday.
I'll finally be able to monitor the vehicle's rpm's and I'm hoping much more.

Ugh. You might consider returning your gauge.
Check out the ScanGauge:
http://www.scangauge.com/
It doesn't have the logging capability, but it is half the price. It is $169 on their site, or $149 over at priuschat.com.
I have one, but I must say that I don't really use it much anymore.

The RPM monitor is just for the ICE.
The ScanGauge at this time cannot be upgraded.
I did see an article that mentioned there is a beta version of an upgradeable ScanGauge being developed but would cost something less than $100 to "upgrade" your present ScanGauge.
You would have to send the unit in for the upgrade.
So the price would be about the same as a DashHawk.
I like the idea that MSD is actively working to increase the PIDs ( Parameter IDs ) for vehicles.
Especially Toyotas.

Let us know how it works out. I started an earlier thread asking if anyone had used the Dash Hawk becasue I prefer the graphical bar gauges it supports over digital boxes. I will be most interested to hear your opinion.
