I took the short cut and bought US TCH with Nav. in Canada. Only thing messed up is that one car is in KM, while TCH is in miles

....now you have to do the mod to change the cluster!

Actually, I'm thinking that might not be that easy, and you would have to change the Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU, so you probably don't want to go there.

Later!

The TCH does both Miles and Km. The MFD has a toggle as does the NAV.

But the defalt unit is english on the speedometer and instant FE guage. Dang was commenting that crasher should change out the main guage cluster to get a metric speedometer and metric instant FE guage.

crasher could also get a ScanGauge (or something equivalent) and set the units to metric. That would be much cheaper than replacing the main gauge cluster.

How does that chage the numbers silk screened onto the dash?

It doesn't, but it would allow the metric numbers to be displayed at a glance.
Isn't that the main point of the dashboard displays?
You still have the needles to give you the general feel of where things are and you can also look at the ScanGuage display for the exact numbers if you want to see them.
I just brought this up as an option so that the dash wound not have to be disassembled and the panel replaced.

No need of that, as I perfectly understand miles and farenheit

....and just so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle, I'm not convinced it's as easy (if you can call it easy), as replacing the cluster. I'm still thinking you may have to replace the Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU in the engine compartment.

Later!

The MFD can be toggled to metric and viceversa. But dealer wont do it. People exporting US cars to Europe got it done there.
I just checked this site.
