Default Nav unit plug connectors

I had my navigation unit removed from my 07 TCH the other day to determine if installing a rocker switch on the vehicle speed sensor wire is worth tackling. I discovered that there is one connector on the back of the nav that wasn't used. It's a black plug in the middle with 12 pins in it. I haven't been able to find anywhere on the internet or in my factory service manual what that connector is for. Now curiosity has got the best of me and I'm worried that something should be plugged in there . Does anyone know should be plugged in there? If anyone else has a nav, did you ever notice what's connected on yours?

I've attached 2 pics, I circled in yellow the connector (on the far left) I'm referring to. Thx

It will allow you to input an address while the car is in motion. As in your passenger can do it.
