My First Problem with my TCH
I wish the neighbor kid's old POS Oldsmobile with the K-Mart Kar-Alarm would melt down... It honks the horn for a good 5 minutes each time it goes off. It goes off 2-3 times a day and sometimes more often. The real funny part is that this has been going on since about April and he still comes flyin' out of the house like he's Kojak making a million dollar drug-bust..
Big-Foot,
Kojak!! LMAO.
Seriously though, I wonder if the wheel has a slip ring for the horn and the light wire just got routed in the wrong spot and wore down. Hopefully it is as simple as that.

Well I got my car back from the dealer on Friday. They indicated that they needed to replace the left front junction block module. This is part number 82720-06090. Everything is working fine now.
I had the same problem occur just before midnight.
My wife and I were on I-65 southbound in the rain.
My observations are as follows:
1. It can happen to anyone.
2. It will probably happen at night on a limited access highway in the rain.
3. After stopping at the next exit, the noise will make it difficult to determine whether or not the car has been turned off properly.
4. Raising the hood makes the noise louder.
5. The horns make the entire front end vibrate.
6. The horns can't be seen easily (locate them in advance in daylight).
7. It's too dark to see anything and you're almost deafened.
8. Finally, the auto-light shutoff kicks in and brings silence.
9. A few miles down the road, it happens again.
10. Pulling over brings people in houses to their windows.
11. Finding a well-lighted area helps some.
12. The horns are HOT!
13. The wiring connections can't be disconnected with one hand.
14. There's not enough room around the horns for two hands.
15. Bending the horn mounts helps to get fingers under the horns.
16. Push the paper-clip like button in to the connector with one hand.
17. Pull down on the connector HARD until the wiring disconnects.
18. Repeat disconnection on secornd horn.
19. Everthing in the area is very sharp, be prepared for cuts.
Special note: the fuse diagram on the lid shows a fuse for "horn" -- there is no fuse for the horn.

At 6 months and 4225 miles the horn went bonkers. Steady bowing for what seemes to be an eternity, then silence.

Mine went at 7 months and 14600 miles.
I phoned the local dealer today to make the appt. for tomorrow -- the sevice manager said they'd have to look at it then order the part.

Dropped my TCH off at the local dealer at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to fix the horns and do the 15,000 mile service. Picked up Mobil 1 on the way there since the service rep was unsure if they had the Toyota equivalent.
At 4:00 p.m., I phoned to ask when I could pick it up;
The service rep said he'd "be honest with me" and tell me they'd just started looking at it!
Then he asked if I could leave it overnight so they could work on it Wednesday................

If they didn't give me a loaner Camry, my size 13 would be all the way up his <beep>!!
And the beep sound wouldn't be coming from the horn right? LOL
