MP3 player sound interference

MP3 player sound interference
When I plug my MP3 player into the auxiliary connection I get clear sound through the stereo system until I plug it in to the external power connection to the car's power adapter. I then get a faint buzzing sound through the stereo system which cuts in and out every few seconds. The interference occurs even if the air conditioning off and the engine is not running.
I am wondering if anybody else is experiencing this problem? And also if so has anyone found a cure?

Paulgw — There are a number of threads about this problem already. I don't recall their names, but a search on "interference" or "noise" should turn them up.

Now, don't rush out and buy that PAC SNI-1/2.5 Noise Filter until you've talked to me. I bought two, because I thought my husband would use the other one - but he doesn't need it in his truck.
Please take it off my hands, for the low, low price of shipping, and maybe a few bucks handling.
Seriously, send me a private message - and I'll drop it in the mail.
