Instrument lighting, or lack there of...
Kris,
Based on your sig, it looks like you went with the LED version in several locations on your car. When you get a moment, could you please give us a feel for all of the lights you replaced and the brightness difference? I assume LED's are dimmable but have never tried it.
Also, what does cathode in the trunk mean?
Regards,
Bigsk8r

Sure,
The first thing is replacing the shifter bulb to a white LED.

I've replaced the licence plate lights with white LEDs also from autolumination.

This is a set cold cathodes, which can be purchased online for less than 20$ shipped, and are used for computer case lighting. They are long lasting and extremely bright - White of course. The difference is night and day. (Picture doesn't do it justice)

It comes with a little ballast of sorts and wires directly to the factory light.

And here are the "ebay" fogs that I've only mounted into the bumper, but haven't wired because I'm not sure if I want to take apart the car to simply run a wire to the battery.

Any other questions or pictures, just let me know, I'm happy to help.

Kris,
Thanks for putting up the photos. Is your interior gray as well? I have black / gray leather.
For the lighting I am far more interested in doing the exteriors right now. I just can't get used to non-HID headlights!
The plate illumination looks cool too.

Mine is actually beige. I agree with the lack of HID, that's my next upgrade too.
Bob,
I my cathode from this site, I had this same tube in my last car for a year and it's still working in my Camry, so they last a while.

12' in white
I did just splice into the exsisting connector, very simple.
