Default INFO BAR when radio station is changed

Have 09 TCH with NAV unit and getting satellite radio receiver installed tomorrow--
is there any way to KEEP the info bar that comes on the top of the map screen constant--to show the station that is being played--
it comes on now only when I change the station or volumn and then lasts 3 seconds--but I would like it to just stay there---is there anyway this can be done?
my husband has Tahoe with Nav screen and his station stays there

You can change the view mode to FM1, FM2, or AM (displayed on the Audio screen).

If you are in some other mode, like Consumption, Engery, or NAV, it will display for a few seconds.

The only option I know of when in some other mode, is to have it display the "bar" or the the full screen.

There was an option somewhere to auto switch back from an audio page but I don't know if that includes when you use one of the input screens or just the Audio screen.

I don't think you can keep the bar there at all times....but maybe there is an option buried.

I'd have to test...

Did that make sense?

I think I understand what you mean--but your reply does not answer the question --is it possible to keep an info bar at the top of the NAV screen--
guess I will have to read the booklet but I bet there is not

this one is not as friendly as the one in my husband's Tahoe--

Yes, but the car is much more environment friendly! Sorry, had to say that!

edit: If you touch the "info" button, then "screen settings", there is a setting for "auto switching from audio to nav. etc" or something close. I don't know if this will do what you want or not.

unfortunatly no.....I wanted to do the same thing and I find this option does not exist. If you find I am wrong, please post where it can be found. Thank you.

My answer was:

After looking on the way home, I don't think there is (as others have posted based their experiences).

At least you use 1/100 the amount of fuel that your husband's Tahoe uses.
