Default I'm not happy with TCH low front clearance

It's been several months since I took delivery and over ten thousand miles. After getting used to the gizmos and fixing the console chirp, I thought the TCH was near perfect. The reality is, the leading edge of the front end is simply too low.

It just clears parking bumper wheel stops, but does not clear many curbs in real-world parking conditions.

I have scraped it several times, even after recognizing the problem and trying to be careful.

To make things worse, the clearcoat seems to peel back, making touch-up useless.

Mine scrapes too.. gotta go slow/diagonal over dips. The car's suspension is weak in general.

I am sure the ground clearance is to assist in FE but it is also too low to clear a racoon three days after delivery.

I haven't had any issues with it, but then I'm always careful not to go too close to those parking barriers, since I used to have a VW Jetta whose front end was literally 2-3 inches above the ground, and regularly got destroyed. I finally removed it.

Yep, I think it's all in what you're used to. The TCH doesn't scrape nearly as easily as our Buick LeSabre.

Totally agree!!! The TCH has the ground clearance of a jeep compared to a S2000!!!!

TCH is not any different than most sedans. Lowest point is about 6.5 inches off the ground, just about average for passenger car. I bet most of you not happy with clearance drove SUV before, which usually have higher clearance, since originally they were designed for off road driving. I have no problem clearing the curbs, except for really high ones and learned my lesson long time ago not to drive forward until I hit the curb.

My previous car was '02 F150 and I'm used to pulling the truck up real close. I more or less had to since the length was longer than most cars and some of the urban parking lots are designed to cram as many vehicles in as possible. With TCH, I know I don't have to get as close to the curb as before so I haven't had an issue with the ground clearance.
