Thumbs up I'm an excellent driver

...said in Dustin Hoffman rainman voice...

We're back from our trip to Santa Fe, where we averaged a respectable 37+ mpg, using mostly cruise control. Nobody pulled us over for the bogus date on our temp tags either.

Today I made my first commute to and from work, and the Eco Driver display said "Excellent" when I shut off the car, both directions! W00t! I didn't drive much different than I usually do - which is good, cuz I didn't want to have to relearn to drive. I love a car that enhances my self-esteem.

Did I say W00t already? Well, W00t! W00t, W00t, W00t!

Congratulations Wendy!

With my short commute (5 miles) with some sizeable hills I have to work very hard to get it to say Excellent to me!

BTW - What does W00t mean?

It's a geeky way of saying yippee, basically.

wOOT used to mean Wow, Loot as in Dungeons and Dragons short speak. Now I think it just means Yippee! Elsifer, I feel the same way though. Feels silly to care, but I really enjoy when I shut down the engines and it shows me how well we did.

The subject of this message had me smiling before I even clicked on it.

I agree, the "Excellent" message, while simple, makes driving this car even more fun than it already is.
