How fast have you gone?

The Toyota manuals say that the TCH is governed to a maximum speed of 185 km/h (~116 mph). So your measurements are in agreement with the specification, allowing for speedometer tolerances.

I have done about 80 and didn't feel very safe going faster. I feel like the car does not have as much stability beyond that. In my Yukon I could easily go 90 and not even feel a difference in how the car handled.
My average highway speed is 75-80 every day.

Guess my speedo must be a bit off, because according to it I was doing 125 and held it there for a few minutes. This was on a LONG straightaway in the middle of nowhere in Louisiana back in 06. The car felt like it had more to give, but that was my limit. Got up there pretty quick too. After a few minutes common sense kicked in and I dropped it back down to 75/80.

All the speedometers I had on older cars read fast.
1 miles per hour fast at 35 miles per hour (35 and 60, against a calibrated scan gauge)
2 miles per hour fast at 60
3 miles per hour fast at 85
4 miles per hour fast at 100
The last two are estimates.
