Default How to clear warning light for low washer fluid

This morning the 'low washer fluid' warning came on with a red triangle.
Is there an easy way to clear the warning indicator? If so, how?
Thanks!

add fluid or water? As far as I remember it always cleared by itself once the washer fluid was replenished. I don't think there is any way to clear warnings, without fixing the problem. I always get annoyed by "maintenance required" and found no way to clear it, except for resetting the mile counter. This, the programing of AC and annoyingly loud seat belt alarm are my only complains about the car so far and I'm past 100k.

Yeah, I figured as much, although, during the week it's annoying as I'm not going to go to the stores just to clear the indicator.

Yup, if you click the DISP button, it goes to the next screen and temporarily clears both the symbol and the text, but after a few seconds the warning returns.

I'd suggest you take out a big cup filled with water, and add only just enough to turn off the light. You can always add the real fluid as soon as convenient.

Of course, it seems pretty easy to get some washer fluid at your nearest gas station. It might not be the stuff you prefer, but it's not like it should hurt, either.

Yeah, was more of an academic question. I can see really important warnings staying visible, but who would have thunk low washer fluid made the big time (a red warning). Yes, I know it's a safety issue.

I have had this happen as well. It is totally ridiculous.

When you have the warning (in an non-nav car) it blocks out whatever screen you have set in the display. You have to constantly push the button on the wheel to get rid of the warning until you add some water. We use a lot of water through the washers down here because of the amount of bugs. I keep a jug of distilled water in the car just for filling this stupid thing in case the light comes on.

Kind of like the stupid service reminder warning.

And yes!! It is a "red triangle" warning!

VERY annoying! It would be nice to be able to turn these warnings/reminders off.

Exactly! It is nice it can tell you that you are low on fluids, but we should have the ability to clear the message. I felt with this issue on a 1000mi trip by fill it with water because it started to get very irritating.

In our overly litigious society, I imagine they'll never correct this. I can see a lawsuit resulting from a driver with dirty windshield complaining that the car failed to warn him he was out of fluid resulting in an accident.
How about $500,000,000 to send a 'message' to Toyota?
