Default different brake feeling after tire rotation

I recently had 5000 miles service done and I noticed braking feeling changed, I can swear it required much less effort on the pedal to
achieve the same braking before tire rotation.
I wonder if anyone experienced this.

While I never looked at the rotors before, I now noticed that front rotor thickness is approx 5 mm less than in the rear. Do they have different thickness to begin with? I didn't measure them, just by 'feeling' with my fingers I estimate the front have approx 8 mm versus ~13 mm in the rear..
Is this normal? What would be the thickness when they are new, anyone knows?
I have 5000 miles and my commute is 6 miles each way.

Thanks for any feedback!
