It seems that after remotely starting the TCH, it will sometimes shut off earlier than the 15 minutes its supposed to run.

I tried boosting the temperature control toward 80 degrees, and that seemed to help a few times, but the other day it shut down early again even with the temp at that setting, set to "Auto".

Has anyone else had the same issue, and how did you cure it?

I was looking into one for my wife, and I believe it only had the capability of 10 minutes of run capability with the option to start it twice. For a total of 20 minutes run time before the "key" needed to be used to start it.

 

I don't have as much of a problem with how long it will run after remotely started (I just warm it up a bit so I'm not driving with a frigid engine), but rather the fact you can't open your car doors without it shutting itself off and then having to restart the car. I know this is a safety feature, but come on, we're all big boys and girls!

Anyone know if this can be changed? My dealer told me no-can-do on switching off the safety feature, which seems ridiculous. Any ideas?
