Be glad you don't live where I do. Right now it is lovebug season. They are everywhere and their guts are like glue!

Oh yeah, I just got done cleaning a bunch of love bugs off my HCH. Not very fun. And on Monday there will only be more.

Some of the bug and tar products work pretty well. I have found that since waxing my car with Meguiars NXT wax that the bugs remove much easier than with my old wax. Now I just wash and rub with a little pressure over the bugs and they are usually gone. I wax with NXT every 3-4 months.

It is lovebug season here in Florida. The TCH will not be driven in the daytime until October when they go away.

Go through a car wash when the cars been out in the rain for a bit. I have one touchless car wash nearby who's cheapest wash is only 5 bucks. High pressure wash takes them off when the bugs are already wet from the rain. Tar's another story and won't work of course.

And there's never a line....

Only an occasional look....

You poor, poor people. My heart goes out to you...bug cleaning ain't no fun.

Arizona...hot like a blowtorch, but no BUGS!

Certainly we have bugs, but you can literally go months here without washing your car, provided you don't have to travel on a dirt driveway, etc. After an extended period of driving I'll only have a few gnats imbedded on my bumper and windshield.

I guess that's our tradeoff...in the desert areas we don't really have the lushness that you other kids have, but the lack of bugs is A-OK with me.
