There is a dude on eBay selling clear bras for 10 bucks plus 15 bucks shipping. Search on "2007 Camry bra".

Being the tight-wad that I am, I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these yet?

I am sure it is not as good as the 3M product, but maybe it is good enough???? The feedback, for other cars, seems good.

I found a local guy that came over and installed the bra, grill, rear bumper, mirror, door handle cups and installed the door guards I bought on Ebay. He spent six hours in my garage. This is not a job I would do myself. There are ways to save money but doing this job yourself is not one of them.

I'm sure good enough to stop rocks but....

The expensive stuff will resist yellowing, and abrasion (that white haze that plastic gets over time). The stuff is also designed to allow enough light to pass through so that the paint underneath ages at the same rate.

Talk to your local tint shop about the various options. Otherwise you may be getting sold a shower curtain with some glue on it...

Thanks, I see your point.

Of course at $25 a pop, I could change it out every year and still be ahead.

I was thinking that maybe about 5 or 6 layers of wax on the front might be good enough. I am not sure if you keep applying wax to an area if the wax builds up or just keeps replacing itself???????

Unlike my previous car, I might make a bit of an effort to keep this one clean and waxed, even though I got Desert Sand Mica because it will hide the dirt better than a dark color.

I will also look into a regular bra, where I could put it on just when I go on trips (maybe 4 times a year).

Got the clear bra on the TCH today. Very pleased with the results. Looks good on the Desert Sand Mica.
