Jimmy,

The parking brake on the Camry does not have a self-adjuster mechanism. You can manually adjust them if it is ever needed. With similar systems to the Prius, our TCH's should go a LONG time between brake jobs. Unless you do a lot of slow speed driving and hard stops from high speed I would like to think we would get at least 80,000 to 90,000 miles between pad changes.

I got 105,000 miles out of the brakes on my '94 Corolla. I also drove it for top gas mileage. With this regenerative braking I may go to 150,000. I'm lucky to live in a area where people drive normal. We don't have the traffic here in Southern New Mexico like in the larger cities.

Thanks,
I was surprised too that it didn't look worse. Toyota did a good job with this car.

Your car is the one I will be ordering next Feb.

I hope it will not be long before it is fixed, thanks for the photo's.

I was told it will spend about 5 days in the shop. Dropped it off yesterday at a local dealer. It will be a long week but as long as they do a good job that's all I care about. In the meantime we got a 2008 Rav4. It's the low end model so I'm definitely missing all of the features of the Hybrid!

I agree, I don't think they will know exactly what it's going to cost until they get it all taken apart. Fortunately he missed the trunk, so it still functions normally. I'll have a more precise estimate early next week. I'll let you all know what the totals are...

Well, somehow I don't think the brakes on the 93 saturn that hit me were in top shape!! I'm glad the car took the hit ok, but I would have rather been in my truck! Had that been the case I would have driven off with a few new scratches.

However I had also very little damage
I did, it's bent a little and the tabs that hold the bumper are bent.

If your trunk opens and closes without problems you may have dodged the 'body realignment' bullet. The damage may only be cosmetic; still expensive, but not critical.
