Interesting.. I don't think mine had that. Mine is a 2009, made in the US. I wonder if that was changed from 2007 to 2009.
I was in the process of installing mine (until I remembered that I need to somehow get the threaded insert into the trunk lid, and was looking for a link for the tool), I just figured I would post a description of the clip installation for someone else's benefit. (since the picture in the instructions is useless).
