It's not unusual here to see someone riding a bicycle into oncoming traffic like you're supposed to walk. It's not a big problem if there are bike lanes or the road is wide enough but part of the route I have to take to work is a busy two lane road during the commuting hours & this can make it very "interesting".

As I live in a smallish suburban community with relatively narrow streets, it's not uncommon for people to walk near the middle of the street and stop to converse with others.
