2010 Ford Escape Hybrid Power Assist Failure C1012 Brake Pedal Feel Solenoid

2010 Ford Escape Hybrid Power Assist Failure C1012 Brake Pedal Feel Solenoid
Fortunately at low speed, power brakes did not respond as normal and it appeared like power assist or even most braking capability failed. Driver was lucky to stop safely. "Check Brake System" displayed on the dashboard.
It appears as if the FEH brake assembly BM6Z-2455-A is discontinued or not available. Does anyone know if the solenoid can be purchased separately? Is Ford essentially not supporting any brake failures of this nature? It also costs $1033!!! Any help appreciated.
$1033.76 MSRP: $1538.33
You Save: $504.57 (33%)
Currently UnavailableDue to manufacturer supply shortage, this item isn’t currently available for ordering.

Further added notes: The brake feel simulator cut-off solenoid valve and brake pedal feel simulator cut-off pressure sensor don't appear to available separately. Could be a wiring fault or problem with the ABS module. Regardless, all expensive repairs. If the assembly or parts discontinued, Ford might be saying "Good Bye See You Later" to supporting important, complex component failures.

If anyone has a detail picture of the 2009-12 hybrid brake pedal assembly and/or basic technical service information, please post the picture or link. Thank you.

Re: 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid Power Assist Failure C1012 Brake Pedal Feel Solenoid
Followup - the Brake Pedal Feel Solenoid was replaced by a good used part. It has been working fine for over 3 months now. The actual brake system was fine all along but the bad Feel Solenoid was not able to replicate the feel of a normal hydraulic braking system so the driver thought the brakes had failed. Note that on the FEH like other hybrids, the brake pedal system is designed to make it feel like a hydraulic system when in reality, most of the braking is regenerative. So the failed part could be called a fake hydraulic brake pedal feel replicator instead. The part was from a one year newer vehicle so we might be able to get a few more years out of the old Hippo. Have a great day!

My wife’s 2010 Mercury Mariner Hybrid is experiencing the same ‘pedal to the floor’ issue, with the C1012 codes.
Can you kindly provide the part no. for the Brake Pedal Feel Solenoid so I too can track one down?
Thank you!

Re: 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid Power Assist Failure C1012 Brake Pedal Feel Solenoid
If you look at the brake pedal, the part that I had replaced was the lower left part that is held in place by three security machine screws. I can't vouch if this is the part you need of course. I don't know if the old part is in heaven or not but with a flashlight and mirror and smart phone, you should be able to find identifying marks or labels. The assembly or part was not obtainable from Ford to my recollection. I recall all the parts were discontinued and even the assembly was unobtainable. That said, parts availability can change like the weather so it's worthwhile if you check the usual suspects like a Ford parts dealer, on line parts dealers like Ford Giant or whatever they are called and Ebay. Then check u pulls or wrecker data bases or call several. I was very fortunate to find one for a year or two younger HIPPO on a wrecker website. The description was vague so I took a chance and ordered it, in this case from Quebec. Quebec had many incentives for hybrids so many of that era were sold in La Belle Province. The part swap thankfully worked as we haven't had any issues whatsoever for over six months.
