I don't know who will win Sunday night. I have an inclination for Seattle. This is going against the prevailing wisdom, and it isn't even strong enough to call a hunch.
But the big winner is the greater Detroit metropolitan area. Southeast Michigan and the Lakehead area of Ontario are putting on a whale of a show for the world.
Yes - I know looking forward shows how far yet Motown has yet to go. But looking behind reveals how far we have come.
Last summer the baseball all-star game. Now the Superbowl. Look for the Final Four in March of 2009 (which my university will be hosting!).
