Talking Proverbs 21

"20 A desirable treasure and oil are in the home of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up."

Serindipity while researching how to deal with skeptics.

From www.godhatesshrimp.com

Leviticus 11:9-12

9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

As you can see, the Bible can be made to say just about anything you want if you take enough time to parse it, sort of like statistics

LOL! That must also include crawdads.

The books of the Bible come from many sources and it is amusing how many times combatants on both sides of a war use the same Bible to justify their cause. But I've always enjoyed Proverbs, the book attributed to Solmon, the wisest king of Israel.

Default On The Lighter Side...

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

My Favorite

Genesis 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son.

....need I explain why?

Someone mentioned getting a comment in Church about the Consumer Report article. Having Proverbs 21:20 handy would be the perfect retort. <grins>

I was thinking, "Prius the Lord and pass the ammunition."

And crabs.

This brought back a memory - when I was growing up in Maryland (land of the steamed crab - yum!), the Jewish lady next door used to bring her crab pot over to our house to hide it when her mom (or mother-in-law, not sure which) came to visit - didn't want her to find out that she was keeping Kosher "Maryland style"!!
