A major Biodiesel terminal opened in Dallas. Tanker trucks will distribute it to stations. Willie Nelson was on hand for the opening.

I'm strongly considering going to a biodiesel. The HCH will be in the newspaper for sale tomorrow morning. Considering a diesel bug if I can find one cheap enough. I remember when I was a kid this old man had a Kubota tractor engine retrofitted in his Series I bug.

 

Get used to cleaning out your EGR every 15-30k miles if you want to keep it in top performance.

 

Anyone wonder why it's located in Dallas? My take is Dallas has more mall and resturants per capita than anywhere else in the US - if not the world. So it's no wonder that for the last couple of years Dallas is in at least the top 10 (if not top 5) of America's Fattest Cites according to Men's Fittness. Yes, Big D can really grease up this biodiesel depot.

I can see a problem some consumers will have with biodiesel (may or may not be funny). Will there be a problem if the biodiesel is processed from bacon fat? Would Islamist terrorist groups start condeming Americans for polluting the air with pork fat, and some service stations sell kosher biodiesel? Hope nobody is offended, but it's probably a matter of time before someone makes an issue of this.
