An Inconvenient Truth Inspires Me to Buy a Hummer
My wife, son, sistger-in-law and I saw 'An Inconvient Truth' Wednesday.
Al Gore has developed a sense of humor.
I almost believed everything in the movie until they talked about ice core samples 625,000 years old. Since we all 'know' that the earth is only 4,000 years old (or so) according to some religious fundamentalists, obviously all of these 'facts' in the movie must be made up with "environmentalists" who have some other agenda.
Just in case they are right and global warming is real and that things have the potential to get nasty over the next decade or two, I have decided I need to get a Hummer.
Why? Not to be macho or anything. I feel that in my HCHII already. To carry more cargo or people? No. I'm doing fine with that right now.
The real reason is simple. I want to be able to drive a hummer while there are still roads to drive on before the ocean levels rise and cover more of the earth.
Mike (tongue-firmly-in-cheek).
