One of the math lies CNW Marketing used to claim a Prius costs $3.25/mile was to take the Research and Development cost and divide it by the most pessimistic mileage number they could find. A big numerator divided by a small denominator. So here is a '1.5 trillion yen' numerator waiting for some idiot to claims is an expense, a cost, to calculate a useless, misleading cost per mile.
Of course the world waits with baited breath for the cost per mile of the GM hybrids from CNW Marketing (NOT!)
