Default inexpensive stereo

Has anyone replaced their stock head unit with an aftermarket unit? I just want one I can play mp3 on via cd or if possible sd flash. I play using the stock speakers.

works great, easy to use, mp3 compatible and has aux plug in front.

My experience is not in my NAH but in a Civic but running stock speakers and its fine. And it was really inexpensive. You will need an aftermarket kit for the NAH install though.

That is pretty inexpensive. Thanks, I'll look into it some more.

if you do replace your speakers consider the MB Quart DKH 116 speakers. They fit in most car doors, don't cost a ton, and sound fantastic.

Thanks. I saw it on the web for a pretty good price. I haven't decided what to do yet.

These notes were on the Crutchfield site about installing the JVC KD-R200:

Installation Details for your 2007 Altima

» You'll lose your factory XM capability if you replace your factory radio.
» You'll lose the factory warning chime if you replace the factory radio. We don't recommend replacing the factory radio.

I saw that too but I didn't know my factory chime was connected to the stereo. It's turned off and I can still hear the chimes. I pm'd getmorempg to get his take on it. He replaced his head unit.
