Default Help 2008 Altima just shut off while driving

I just bought a 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid with 165,000 miles about a month ago. The maintenance-other light came on but I don't know what other meant then the next day same message came on but with a man picture. I drove it another 200 miles Then I left my car on overnight (on accident). Then my gas light came on but said I still had 30 miles to go Everything seemed fine but 30 minutes later my car just stopped. When I start it I can hear like a fan run for a minute but all the warning lights are on dashboard and it still shows to brake and button symbol. Someone thought it was brake relay sensor but it wasn't. They disconnected computer for 30 minutes to try and reset. It didn't help. He scanned it and got the code U0100 “Lost Communication with ECM/PCM ‘A.’”. Now my battery is dead. I can't even roll up my windows. Does anyone know the next step I should take? I know nothing about cars and my friend is not familiar with hybrids. Thank you

do not attempt to start again until you:

1) Add 5 gallons of gas.
2) Charge the 12V.
