Nice, thanks!

It was my dad driving the car at the time and he couldn't start it. I figured there was something fishy going on - and I replicated the issue just now.

It seems to be a bug with the software that does the car startup sequence. Try this on your NAH:

1. Hit the start button without your foot on the brake.
2. It gives you the brake picture and only the accessories turn on. Hit the button to turn everything off.
3. Hit the start button again, without your foot on the brake. Now all the dashboard lights come on, and they stay on for a while. Finally they all go out except ABS but the car never goes into Ready mode.
4. Turn it off and then try starting the car again, but with your foot on the brake. You'll get the same errors and you won't be able to figure out why it is not starting.

After that, if you wait a few minutes for the software to reset or whatever, it goes back to normal.

I think I've done before but I didn't pay attention to the lights because I was rushing to get it started and out of the garage before the home alarm went off. I cycled through the start button to start it up. Now, I just put my foot on the brake and hit the start button and EV mode it goes!

If you haven't dl the manual yet, here's what they wrote about the starter button.

If the ignition switch was repeatedly pushed on
and off over a short period of time, the start
function may not work properly.Wait 20 seconds
then restart the Hybrid System.

Sharing my experience: I was looking for a silver vehicle with leather seats ... I spec'd it on nissanusa.com with the leather seats and it automatically added the convenience package which was $1300 msrp so i though ok not bad of a package price to include leather so i did the inventory check for silver + convenience package and charcoal LEATHER. Now to email dealers and get prices ...

I finally received a dealer that quoted me $23,700 OTD which I was happy with. Drove down to the dealer and car did NOT have leather seats! Dealer said only way to get leather seats was to get the convenience package AND the connection package. The connection package listed "Leather-appointed seats" so I'll bite ... Can anyone confirm?

Long story short, I negotiated another vehicle that had both packages. $23,700 OTD price + $2938 connection package invoice price after tax = $26,638 OTD

Two other things if other owners can please verify for me please ... the tools in the truck appears to be missing two items (under the carpet) There is a hole in the form for another tool and the space under the wooden top lid is also empty.

Lastly, when I drove the vehicle home using AC, it appears to leaking water underneath the vehicle. My dad thinks its just the AC but I would like to be sure. thanks

Yep, the wooden top lid is empty for me as well, and the form for what looks like a ratchet wrench is empty.

The dripping water is most likely the AC - all AC system drip water because of the humid warm air passing over the heat exchanger and the humidity condensing.

My vehicle also has the convenience package, but seems to be missing the "Side Cargo Net." Do you have anything resembling that installed in your vehicle?

I went to carsdirect and configured a NAH with the connection package. I had to select the convenience package as well. I haven't looked under the carpet but since I have the base model if it's empty I would not be surprised.

It's true that you could a get cheaper car that gets the same gas mileage but it would be hard to match the ride and comfort of the NAH. But I would not have paid sticker price for it either. The gas savings does not justify the extra cost over a 2.5S or 2.5SL. With the financial incentives it's a great buy.

I am not sure about the mileage yet. I've driven it a little slower and the gas gauge is barely moving compared to the last time I measured the gas mileage. I am coming from a Lexus that gets about 16MPG so I am happy about the mpg.
Yeah I decided to get this car only because of the $3250 rebate (I don't qualify for the $2350 tax credit though), not sure it'll justify my choice over an altima 2.5 S/2.5 SL, which will be either cheaper or better equipped with the same amount of money. I'm also thinking that this car should have a better resale value (do not depreciate as quickly) if the rebate discontinues/ economy gets better/ gas prices shoot up again.

But you're helping to keep the air clean. And isn't pretty cool to cruise around park lots in complete silence?

I agree. The tech factor of having a hybrid is worth a lot more to me than just the price difference of a hybrid vs. normal car (but I didn't have to tell the dealer that!)

My latest tankful was pretty good. It would be very hard for a 2.5S to match it.
