I've had my NAH for 2 months, ran well. Now I've had the same issue pop up twice in two weeks. In each case I was stuck in traffic for a 10-15 min period and my battery was run down to the low end of the range. Then the ICE kicks in and the engine is a bit louder - still normal, I understand its charging the battery. What was not normal was that the engine was racing for periods of 10 seconds, for 3-4 intervals. Then the ICE would generally run rough until the car was home. Next day and all is back to normal. Anyone else get this?

 

Dan, I have not experienced what you described. Another recent poster zippyzop, seems to be having the same problem.

 

Verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting. This is kind of making sense now. Yesterday my battery was maybe 2/3 and the racing occurred. Today the battery was full and no racing. Also, when I turned off AC and Radio the racing usually stopped. See my other post for further details.
