2009 NAH Quote - is this a good price?
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the Hybrid game. After researching for several weeks i've decided on the 2009 NAH.
I received a quote from a SF/Bay Area dealer for a "FULLY LOADED" 2009 NAH for $27,290.00. The car looked very good and drove really well!
Do you guys think this is a good price? In comparison to Edmunds TMV tool it seems like a good price, but I don't know how reliable that is. I'd rather get feedback from you guys on this site.
ALSO - how long is the battery expected to last? Is it safe to assume that mpg will start to drop off as the battery gets older? I apologies if this is a stupid question...i'm a hybrid newbie
Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
prime

Not sure on the price, but do keep in in that there's a $3500 incentive on the NAH per http://local.nissanusa.com/crossregi...ma-hybrid.html.
The HV battery is warranted to 10 years/150K miles.
You might find http://avt.inl.gov/hev.shtml (look at all the PDFs for Nissan and Toyota hybrids) and http://avt.inl.gov/pdf/hev/end_of_life_test_1.pdff interesting. Although end of life test wasn't done on the NAH, the Prius lost little fuel economy after 160K miles.

Thanks for the response. The rebate is already priced into the $27,290 price quote. The dealer invoice is 31K less $4,500 in total rebates = $27,290.00
Additional feedback is appreciated.
Thanks!

Side note, although this doesn't factor into your purchase price, as long as you don't face AMT, you should qualify for a $2350 Federal tax credit. See http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax_hybrid.shtml.
so basically you are paying invoice price for the car. i think that anytime you can pay invoice price, you are getting a pretty good deal. what is the exact invoice price?
It would be a crappy deal if you pay invoice and there are thousands in incentives/rebates.
Dealer Invoice: 32,075
Total Rebates: 4,740
Purchase price: 27,335
Specs: 2009 NAH
Convenience Package
Connection Package
Technology Package
Kickplate
Floor mats
Moon Roof
25 Miles!
I'll post pix when I get a chance!

-John
