Talking Motor Trend's Camry Hybrid

Our Camry astonishes all who drive it. One editor went 455 miles using under 11 gallons of gas--just over 41 mpg. That same editor crept along in bumper-to-bumper traffic in just electric mode; the gasoline engine never turned on. Very cool.

The tone suggested they wanted to find problems with the car and their other hybrid. But I also get the impression the price of gas seems to have subdued this skepticism.

. . . I also feel like the suspension is tuned with a Buick owner in mind; it feels soft and willowy. Can't help but feel the demographic this car is aimed at are those born right around the mid-century mark or earlier.
Ok, I was born, Dec 1949 and I like the 'boat' ride. Eventually arthritis and other joint injuries will make comfort much more important. Gravity always wins and time takes it toll. <grins>
