Why would you buy 50 miles' worth of gas?

Regarding the beef jerky guy, I think you're falling for a joke.

Jack Links "Tender Cuts" are $6.00 per 3.5 ounce bag at a quicky mart. They are fantastic BTW!

So how are they if you dip 'em in milk and eggs, roll them in flour and fry them up? Not too dry?

I didn't mean the price of the jerky, I meant the scenario as a whole (i.e. substitute widgets for the jerky).

Default Beef Jerky Story

It's possible someone responding to CNN made up the beef jerky story, but it sounds very plausable. There are so many distracted drivers phoning, drinking, eating, etc....other people that whine about the price of gas while doing absolutely nothing to save....

While recent studies give numerically increased accident risk of driving and eating, cell phoning, etc; none of them looked at increased risk of accidents in Hybrid drivers who constantly stare at their mpg meter while driving....i know I have had a few close calls!
